Princes Street Gardens
A public park at the foot of Edinburgh Castle, Princes Street Gardens were created in the 1820s and are a popular meeting place throughout the year. With stunning views and a range of cafés, the gardens are a must-visit, and walking distance from The Chester Residence.
Originally a loch, The Meadows is a large public park mainly consisting of open grassland crossed by tree-lined paths. To the south of the city centre, there is also a children's playground, croquet club, cricket pitches and tennis courts. The Meadows is a short bus ride from The Chester Residence.
Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh
Over 70 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh is a world-renowned scientific centre for the study of plants, their diversity and conservation. Open daily from 10am, entrance is free. A short bus ride from The Chester Residence.
