Reservations and Revenue Executive

We are looking to recruit a talented Reservations and Revenue Executive to join the team. Reporting to the General Manager, the Reservations and Revenue Executive will be self-motivated and will play a hands on role with the running of reservations and revenue department within the hotel.  At least 1 – 2 years’ experience in reservations is essential and a knowledge of revenue and rate management in a 5-star property would be beneficial.

Responsibilities will include:

  • A working knowledge of reception and reservations is required
  • Sales delivery – developing business strategies to drive business to the hotel
  • Maximize revenue through the encouragement of up selling
  • Help drive the business forward within agreed business strategy parameters
  • Support and assist the reception team where required
  • Liaising with the management team to develop new rate plans and promotions
  • Maintaining the in-house reservations systems
  • Forecasting revenue streams
  • Ensure the best levels of customer service within the hotel
  • Deep understanding of Opera is preferred but not essential

Receptionist

We are currently recruiting a positive and personable full time receptionist for a 5* property in the West End of Edinburgh. 

Based in award winning modern and contemporary surroundings you will be required to contribute to the hotels success. You should have a warm, personable nature, can do attitude with an eye for detail

You will know and understand what it means to deliver amazing hospitality, you will be able to engage with guests as one of the first contacts as they arrive at the hotel and will thrive on the challenge of always exceeding guest’s expectations. As a result you should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Meeting & greeting guests
  • Checking guests in and out using the hotel PMS system (Opera)
  • Following and adhering to in-house procedures
  • Proving a orientation of the hotel facilities and the apartment with all guests
  • Answering the telephone and making reservations
  • Processing payments and policies with cash handling
  • Providing tourist and restaurant information
  • Adhering to currently hotel policies on health and safety and fire procedures
  • Night shift cover will be required from time to time
